Q.Apricot Tree

Anonymous added on August 9, 2012 | Answered

Why does my apricot tree get only a few flowers that never or rarely set to make fruit? The tree has been in the ground probably 15 years. It has never had more than 3 or 4 apricots in a year. I have had no luck with my apricot tree or the plum tree that was in the same spot before it. I have other fruit trees in my yard that bear wonderful crops, but it just seems that the trees next to the north wall won’t bear fruit. I don’t know if it is the soil or what. There is no frost where I live in southern California. Actually, there is a Meyer lemon tree next to the apricot tree that is 40 years old and still produces mounds of great fruit. What should I do?
