Q.why do the persimmons fall

Zone 07032 | Anonymous added on July 6, 2020 | Answered

Hello, I have a persimmon tree and I get about 200 persimmons. The problem is that I don’t get to eat any of them because before they are ready to eat they all fall off the tree and I have to throw them out.

any idea why this happens or what can I do to prevent this. thanks so much

You can still use them once they fall, as this is when they are perfectly ripe. You can also avoid this by harvesting them slightly less than perfectly ripe to allow them to finish ripening indoors.
