Q.Why Did My Neomarica Stop Producing Runners?

Zone 33437 | Anonymous added on February 2, 2022 | Answered

My plant is a descendent of cuttings I obtained from a friend’s plant in 1975! Over the years I have propagated hundreds of cuttings, lived in areas where I could have plants in pots indoors and outdoors. I moved to Florida 6 years ago and was able to bring 1 small pot. It finally grew 2 runners that bloomed but only 2 and the 1 I cut to propagate finally grew 1 root after 8 months in water. The pot is indoors, looks healthy. Any suggestions?

This article about their care should help. Make sure they have plenty of moisture and light to full shade. I'm wondering if the container is too small. They need space to "walk."
