Why Can’t I Get My African Violets To Put Out Green Foliage Or Blooms?

My African violets are on my window seal and are shaded from direct sunlight by blinds. My leaves have turned brown and no blooms. Looks like they are dying! What am I doing wrong or not doing? HELP!
