Q.Gardenia Leaves Drying Up and Dying

txgramma3 added on July 12, 2011 | Answered

Why are the leaves on my Gardenia bush drying up and dying? I transplanted my Gardenia bush about a month ago from a pot to the ground. It gets partial sun. It started out with yellow leaves, now they are drying up and falling off. I have fertilized it a couple of times and also an iron treatment. We live in Zone 8.

It could be in shock from the transplant. Mine did the same thing. I watered deep and they like to be sprinkle in the morning and now it's doing great! I thought it was lack of iron also but never any treatment for that.
