Q.Why are my zucchini buds turning yellow?
I have a zucchini plant in a 7 gallon pot.
The first zucchini that came was doing well
and then started turning yellow. It turned completely yellow. The bloom didn’t show signs it had opened or was opening. I have 2 others one is starting to get yellow. I did find a teeny tiny green caterpillar in my male flower. I think it’s whats been having a buffet on my leaves. I have leaf miners and then these tiny little bright white spots showed up everywhere. Doesn’t look like powdery mildew. I make sure the plant gets calcium, fertilizer, they get plenty of water. I live in central Florida zone 9. It’s been raining like crazy but the containers have good drainage. I checked for signs of vine borers i saw no signs of it. If you could help me figure out what’s going on, and if I can save my zucchini. I would appreciate. Also it seems like the blooms never open. I don’t have as many leaves as I would like more are coming in. I had 2 they had leaf
miner and died from it and one that turned
completely yellow, and it died. I am not sure what to do. I have BT I am going to put out. I didn’t want to open the females and pollinate by hand unless absolutely necessary. My other though was can zucchini change color while it’s in the process of growing to full size? I added a before and after of that zucchini.

Check the undersides of your leaves for aphids or spider mites that may be feeding on your plants. If so, apply Neem oil to keep them at bay. Your plant may have mosaic virus, which is transmitted by aphids. That would explain the yellow leaf margins and stunted growth.
