Q.Why are my pilea leaves turning black?

Zone 07310 | Anonymous added on August 11, 2019 | Answered

Several of my pilea leaves are developing black spots at the center or brown spots along the edge. What is causing it and how can I prevent it?

This is likely a fungal infection. This happens most often when the soil remains too wet for too long. It should be allowed to dry out, at least down to about 2 inches before watering again. Neem oil may help.
