Q.White tupelo trees
I have a few white tupelo trees currently potted. I want to plant them next to my wetlands, what is the best process? I am in NW Florida. (Jackson County)
White tupelo is supposed to be difficult to transplant because of its taproot, but plants in containers are more likely to survive than bare root plants. You may want to ask advice of an extension agent (through your local university) or someone at the nursery where you obtained them. Spring is supposed to be the better season to plant them.
