Q.White spots and mold on jade plant
I have been reading up on help for the mold and now white spots on my very large over 25 year old jade plant. One suggestion was to spray it with a baking soda and vinegar solution, but I cannot find anywhere what the ratio is or if water is mixed with it. Could someone please help me with the recipe? I am in southwest Ontario and I do keep my plant outdoors all summer. I am wondering if it has been too humid for my plant? Mind you I do have 2 jade plants and so far the other has not been affected.
From the image it appears to be water spotting on the Jade Plant. Watering from above should be avoided.
I would also make sure that it is protected from rainfall, excess moisture can lead to root rot.
Mealybugs can be common on Jade Plants, but I don't see these on your plant.
Powdery Mildew is also possible, and is caused by a fungus. Improving air circulation can help.
