Q.where to store spring bulbs?

Zone 5 | tmc added on May 21, 2012 | Answered

I recently asked about moving bulbs due to construction. Now that I have them in pots and the leaves have dried, now what? Keep them in sun or shade? Keep them watered? Outside or basement?

I would place them in a cool, dark location like a garage or basement. If they're in the basement, check on them monthly to ensure they are not getting soft (rotting) due to moisture. Do not water them.
