Q.When To Prune A Old Big Cherry Tree In Uk?
Dear Sirs, my cherry tree is about 3 meters high, and 3 meters width, it is about 10 years old, we would like to prune 20% of it this year, could you please tell me, can I prune this month in September? because some people said in the summer, some people said in the winter. which month is best time for me to do this work? could you please help me to prune this? I really would like to finish this ASAP. Please see the attached picture for the size of cherry tree. Thank you very much for your help

Cherry trees should be pruned in the winter, when they are dormant. The exception is sweet cherries. They should be lightly pruned in summer. These articles should help:
