Q.When to Fertilize Newly Planted Gardenia

Anonymous added on April 14, 2014 | Answered

Today I planted and watered a Jubilation Gardenia purchased from a local nursery. Should I now fertilize it with Miracid or similar fertilizer for acid-loving plants or wait for several weeks before fertilizing?

You can give it some fertilizer now but I would only do so at half strength. Once it has established in its new surroundings, you can fertilize as usual. This article will help with fertlilizing your gardenia: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/gardenia/fertilizing-gardenias-in-your-garden.htm
