Q.what type of fig?
someone gave me some cuttings from a fig tree, but I don`t know what type is this fig.
By looking at the leaves can you tell me if these fig cuttings are :
caprifig (male never bear fruit)
or
common fig (female bearing fruit- with no need of pollination)
Can you tell me which one it is?
Thanks
Frank
Thank you for your answer.
I`ll try to take a photo of a mature leaf.
Thanks again.
Frank
I'm sorry we can't identify the variety of your Fig Tree. A single fig variety can have a couple of different leaf patterns. The leaves can change to the shapes found in more mature trees as the tree gets older. It's easier to identify the variety if you have a ripe fig and a leaf.
