Q.What To Do With Young Freesia Corms?

Zone UK - North of England | Lance Kershaw added on June 22, 2021 | Answered

Bought 3 freesia plants around 3 years ago. Planted them in a 12”, deepish pot & they flowered, rather unsuccessfully, the same year. Nothing happened then for the next 2/3 years so this week I decided to see what was happening. Found literally at least 100 healthy-looking bulbs & offsets in the pot, with no signs of sprouting. Have planted 20 or so in a couple of troughs (22 June 2021) but what do I do with the rest?

You can try giving them away, or selling them. If you can't do that, then you can grind them up and add them to a compost bin.
