What Is Wrong With My Camellia?

This was a big issue last July – September, less so since. Leaf discoloration progresses over 6 – 10 days, finally turning fully yellow, then falls off. The shrub is in good soil to about 6 inches, then clay below that. It gets approximately 1 inch of water per week April – September, more in July & August and gets full sun for 4 – 8 hours a day (season depending). Any help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like sunscald. Camellias prefer a more shady location with acidic soil. Dappled sun is OK but not full sun.
