what is this and how can i get rid of them?

My neighbour’s tree hangs over in my back garden. I have been having alot of fly and wasp activity for the last 2 months. Also, for the last week have been getting these insects. They’re mainly on the garden fence, the back wall of my house and any concrete, ie flags, posts. Can you advise me how to get rid of them and what they are, please? thank you.

There are a number of wasp spray that will kill yellowjackets. These are highly aggressive and will work together to stop an intruder. If you do not feel comfortable dealing with them yourself then it will be best to call an exterminator.
