Q.What is right amount to use on Roses?
Hello, I read your articles frequently and print those that pertain to my roses. Last year I read an article, Black Spot on Rose Bushes-How to get rid of Black Spot on Roses. That is where you mentioned that you use Honor Guard. Oh, also you said to use Green Cure. I also found and bought some of it. It a while to find it but I finally found both of these items. Honor Guard is in a pint bottle with a measurement bulb or what ever it is called.
My problem is this. I only have 18 roses. I really need something for the black spot and I believe with all this rain we have had I have some fungal problem. My husband and I have tried to figure out how much of the Honor Guard to use in small quantities. Sadly we have been unable to do this. I usually use a pull around 3 gal sprayer. I am 73 and this is the only way for me to spray all my babies. My husband calls them that…He helps all he can but is not supposed to go out in the sun at all. Course, in our area of Texas, sun is in short supply. We have had nothing but rain, 2 or 4 inches at a time. 3 inches one day, then the very next day 5 inches. I have my roses in raised bed so at least they drain really well. I put 2 inches of stones in the bottom of these bins to help them drain better.
Could you please let me know how much of Honor Guard to use for either a 1 gal or a 3 gallon sprayer? I was able to figure out how much Green Cure to use.
I would be so grateful.

For Honor Guard fungicide, you can mix 1/3 to 2/3 teaspoon per gallon of water.
