Q.What is my Yellow flowered climber

stetlow added on October 23, 2013 | Answered

Large climber with dark green leaves and small yellow flowers. Has grown vigorously up and over a pergola. We have just moved in the property. It was covered in little yellow flowers, which have just died off. I have checked all the websites and cannot find what it is. I found something similar that has an orange centre, but these flowers are completely yellow. As you can tell I am a novice gardener and I dont want to kill it !!!!

The plant could be Carolina Jasmine. This fact sheet shows pictures: https://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/ornamentals/nativeshrubs/gelsemiumsemper.htm
