What hedge would you recommend up against the house that gets summer sun but winter shade?

We would like a hedge about 5-6′ tall with xandu or something like that in front. There are two Japanese blueberry trees, so the hedge would go between the trees and to the right of the one tree – meaning along the tall part of the wall. Thank you!
