Question

What are some varieties of potted plants that do well in full sun? We place two ceramic pots out on our concrete stoop every year; however, the afternoon sun dries out even the petunia plant. We are looking for suggestions on plants that can not only withstand full sun, but also the heat from ceramic pots and concrete under it.
