Weeping Yucca Plant

I just bought a yucca plant and now I see that the trunk is weeping this black liquid. Wondering what that is and what I could do about it.

This indicates that the plant is very ill. Since you just bought it, I would highly recommend taking it back and getting a new plant or a refund. It is likely a bacterial infection and there is little you can do for the plant.
