Q.Visual privacy as well as security.
Inside my front yard I’m planning a very private patio outside my new kitchen addition. A little further out is the street with no sidewalk and I’d like to plant for visual privacy as well as security. I’m considering Pyracantha Firethorn and possibly a couple more in addition. Between these it may be nice to plant a contrast to break up the Pyracantha. Lineal distance of this planting is about 50′. What do you recommend that is compatible with the Pyracantha? We live in Boise, Idaho Zone 6b. The soil is well drained and can add sprinkler line for this. Also, the mature Russian Olive gives off lots of shade the last half of the day. The pictures, one taken from the future patio area toward the street. The other from across the street. Both show the Russian Olive which will become a feature from the patio. The Pyracantha will go right past the Pyracantha between the street and the Russian Olive, effectively providing the barrier the the future patio.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
