Q.Unwanted fungi in grass

When I bought my house 4 years ago part of the lawn had fungi in in it. I had the lawn dug up and recovered in topsoil about four inches deep. It has been ok since then but I have just been away for two weeks and when I returned similar but larger mushroom type growths had sprung up in the same area.
Can you identify them from the photograph and tell me a way of preventing them?
