Q.Unripe Lantana Berry Pods
If the lantana berries are not ripe when picked will they be useful? Can they produce a lantana plant? Or do the berries have to stay on the plant until they ripen before picking to produce a plant?

The berries need to turn dark before picking. Also, the berries are poisonous so take care when handling. Plants that produce berries usually decline in flowering and it's recommended to cut them back to increase bloom.
Lantana hybrids don't come true from seed so if you plant the berries, you likely won't get a plant like the parent. Many of the new hybrids are sterile and don't produce seed.
