Q.trumpet vine care

Zone Congress, AZ | Jayelle added on June 10, 2017 | Answered

Just bought 2 huge trumpet vines about 10 ft. tall. They were grown in a container with a stake which they have grown around. I have them planted next to a 4×8 lattice and wish them to cover it.

Do I take the stake out now or wait till they drop their leaves to try to untangle them to cover the lattice?

Many times you can just leave the stake in place, and it will become hidden over time.

Otherwise wait until dormancy to remove the stake.
