Trimming Dead Flowers on Crepe Myrtle

We live in Williamsburg, VA and love our tree. It has five canes and blooms well. When should I trim off the dead flowers? I am keeping it a natural shape. It is white.

You can trim off the blooms right after they fade. As a matter of fact, trimming them right after they fade may result in a second batch of blooms.
