Trimming back of trumpet vine

Our trumpet vine has gotten too big. Should it be pruned back in the fall or spring?

Pruning normally takes place in early spring or fall, but generally spring is preferable. The plant can be severely pruned back to just a few buds if necessary and will come back fine.
