Q.Trimming a boxwood plant

Boxwood added on May 21, 2017 | Answered

Our 30 year old boxwood is so large that just trimming it doesn’t make it small enough. Can it be cut back beyond the green leaves and if I do that, will it grow green again this year or will I kill it?

It is best to do severe pruning in stages.
