Q.Trees losing bark

Zone Long Island, NY | Anonymous added on April 24, 2016 | Answered

We have a tree at the street, as do the other houses on our street. We have lived here for 26 years and last time was the first time we saw the bark fall off any of the trees, let alone all of them. This year the bark has not returned and more seems to be coming off. The trees are almost completely “naked. We have no idea of what kind of tree it is. Should we contact the local municipality that the trees belong to?

Some trees shed there bark but just get hold of the municipality to be sure.
