Q.treating infected soil

Anonymous added on July 7, 2015 | Answered

Treating soil that maybe infected with the white powdery fungus. I noticed it 1 year ago on a couple of peony bushes. This year it is on all 10 of them. Our local greenhouse suggested we may need to remove or treat the soil to prevent it from reappearing on the new plants we will need. What we should we do?

You can treat the soil around your plants with neem oil, which is an effective fungicide (and will also help the peonies). This article should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/peony/powdery-mildew-peonies.htm
