Q.transplanting & moving iris

Anonymous added on September 5, 2015 | Answered

I will be moving from NY to Nashville, TN sometime this fall. I have irises I want to take with me. Should I dig them up now or wait until closer to when I move? What should I do with them after I dig them up? How should they be stored? Anything else I should do or be aware of. Thanks very much.

It may be easier and better to wait as long as you can, or as weather permits to dig them up. This will give you a chance to ensure their survival. This article will help you prepare them for storage:
