Q.tomato watering

Zone Chewelah Wa. 99109 | alodovici added on May 8, 2016 | Answered

Just installed drip irrigation. I purchased 1 gph emitter. How many per plant and how long a watering duration, and are those the correct emitters is what I would like to know. AVG. temp 80 to 95 summer time. Raised beds on hot side house. Beds are 2 ft x 8 ft x 16 in deep. These beds are to be used for tomatoes and peppers. I can also place different emitters since I haven’t placed the plants or emitters.

thanks
AL

You'll want to set them according to the instructions on the package and by following the general rule of thumb of 1.5 to 2 inches of water per plant per week (due to your average temperature and location of the beds, your plants may need more).
