Q.Tiny Ants On Sunflowers.

Zone V0N 1V9 | Anonymous added on May 31, 2024 | Answered

I find tiny ants crawling up my half-grown Sunflower stalks. Are they harming the plant, or maybe they are eating bad bugs? Should I try to get rid of them? How?

Ants are not harmful in themselves, but they may indicate a problem with aphids or scale, which produce honeydew. Ants love the honeydew and will harvest it from plants.
