Q.Three Years In A Raw I Can\’t Grow Zichinis And Pumpkins.
The baby fruit rottens on the steam before it grows to full size vegetable. What could be the reasons? I have a raised bed garden and I buy organic soil in bags and add pit moss and compost. Thank you in advance for your help.

Adding peat moss can make the soil too acidic for magnesium uptake.
Before adding anything to your soil it will be necessary to test, both, the pH and nutrient content. Adding anything before knowing what and how much to add will usually cause other deficiencies.
Magnesium deficiencies, or low pH will cause magnesium lockout. This will present itself as blossom end rot, and light green veins in between dark leaves on older leaves.
