The Epiphyllum Orchid Is Growing A “stick”, It Has Grown Very Rapidly

It is a very straight “stick” and it has some root-like growths. Unfortunately I am not able to send you a picture, have tried but am not able to. May you know what it is? Your help will be appreciated. Thanks Alma

Unfortunately, without photos it will be hard to say what it is. It is either a flower shoot, or roots.
