The top of my Yucca tree was damaged by the cold weather, so we cut away the part that had gone soft to see if the rest of the tree could be saved. We now have shoots coming out of the bottom of the tree, so we have cut the tree back to about a foot high. Should we leave these shoots, or should we take cuttings from them to form a new tree? I would like advice on what to do with these shoots.
you can do either. sometimes the yucca will send out a shoot form the top also
I have 3 red yucca plants I want to put near my house, but the place isn't always in full sun. How much sun should these plants get each day in order to be healthy?
5 hours is generally enough to keep them healthy. They can take a little less sun, but you may see a decrease in flowering.
My new kitten took a flying leap at my Yucca plant last night and managed to break two of the stems from the main trunk. The plant is of great sentimental value to me and I wondered if I can do anything to save the broken off branches.
I'm sorry to hear about your plants damage and I'm afraid the news isn't good. You'll need to remove those branches.
My yucca has split in half because of the weight when it flowered.

My yucca plant leaves are turning brown, black and falling off. There are black spots on a lot of leaves. This plant is about 5 feet high and was doing well for the last 4 years. It gets a lot of sun, but we had a lot of rain for about three weeks in Florida. Is there anything I can use to get it looking good again?
It is probably getting too wet. Check the drainage to make sure it's not sitting in water as a result of all the rain. There's not much you can do about the rain, but once it stops, allow the plant to dry out some and remove all the dying foliage. Hopefully, once the soil has dried out, it will bounce back. However, these plants do not like to remain wet for too long and root rot can quickly set in.
Should I cut the spent bloom stalk of my Golden Sword yucca plants? It looks unsightly, but I don't want to injure the plant.
Yes, you can remove the spent bloom. The following article should be of some help to you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/yucca-plants-care-and-pruning-tips-for-pruning-a-yucca.htm
I seem to have mealybugs on my yucca plant. Do they spread, and what is the best way to get rid of them?
