Is it ok to use cow manure in the garden to grow watermelon's? e-mail address mickeyreevesmr@gmail.com. Thank you. Mr. Mickey Reeves
As long as the manure is composted, is can be used as a soil amendment for growing vegetables.
Manure compost along is too nitrogen rich for vegetable growing.

My watermelon plant had an unfortunate run in with some squirrels who decided to eat about half of the plants leaves. Its a new plant, no flowering yet. So I have a few questions as I am a new gardener. (this one may be a little dumb to ask) Will the leaves grow back? Will the plant not having leaves ruin the chance of getting watermelon? Any advice helps! I'm also having the same issue with my cucumbers and zucchini (squirrels ate the leaves too)
It will most likely survive the squirrel attack and produce fruit if you can keep them from coming back and damaging more

hi The leaves of some of the watermelon vines that I have planted have turned yellow along with the vines, leaving the front and growing part of the plant to be green. added to this dilemma, the plants have not produced any water melon at all, even though they had some yellow flowers. our climate in Erbil, Kurdistan is having a very hot weather in the past few days. Appreciate your fed back on this.. Beabak Hamad

I plant a watermelon plant which grew two vines from the same stem that are different in texture and leaf shape. what might be the cause of one plant producing two separate types vines and leaves that looks like completely separate plants? Pictures and short video clip included. Thank you for your time and i'm looking forward to your response. Leon
Your seed was a hybrid and for some reason it split it's growth into 2 plants.
