I moved house in December and have 4 full large compost bins. I have used some of it and lots and lots of weeds come up all types: including tomatoes, grass and creeping buttercup. I obviously can't use it in new veg beds or mulching. What do I do with it? Please help.
I would contact a local garden club and offer the compost to local gardeners.
Any community gardens or allotments in your area? Ask if you can hang up a sign at a local garden center.

We have watered and fertilized tomato plants but one plant is forming flowers, then after a while, the flowers fall off without forming fruit. It is in a different spot in our yard. We have had great success with tomatoes in this spot before. What could be wrong? We are using the same tomato fertilizer as we always use.
There are a few reasons for blooms falling off of an otherwise perfectly healthy plant.
No pollination, temperature fluctuations, soil content...It could even be the plant itself. This article will give you a list of possible causes, and what to do about them: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/why-healthy-blooms-fall.htm

Our tomatoes often have core-like color and substance going down at least 1/3 of the tomato. Usually there is some yellowish/orangish color on outside of where it is and feels very hard to the touch.
This sounds like a normal tomato description.
The core of the tomato is directly under the tomato stem.

Is the Bordeaux mixture safe on tomato and pepper plants to treat for Anthracose?
No, this is not a fungicide treatment that would be effective on Anthracnose Fungus.
If you Tomatoes and Peppers are indeed infected with Anthracnose, you should dispose of the plants.

The leaves are turning yellow in the middle of the plant. Otherwise, the plant looks healthy and no signs of bugs or disease. Gets plenty of water and not over watering. I can't figure out what it is. Can you give me ideas?

I grow a patio garden on my second floor deck. I bought potting soil and planted later than I normally do not until mid June. A week ago I found my tomato plants infested with full grown hornworms. I'm trying to figure out how they got there. I didn't grow them in the ground. They weren't put on my deck until June 12th. I've grown patio gardens many times and this is the first hornworm issue I've had. The plants weren't around in the spring for the moth to lay eggs and all the potting soil was new. Thank!!
