Do I need to prune branches that have thorns from my tangerine tree? My tangerine tree has not produced fruit this year. Someone told me that citrus trees should not have thorns.
Thorns can be found on many citrus trees.

Why are the Tangerines on my tree not turning orange? There are lot of them on the tree. It's planted in the ground btw. And they are quite big as well, but have stayed green for a couple of months now.
Make sure the tree is receiving adequate water, and also though Tangerines are not quite as heavy of a feeder as Orange trees, they do need a fertilizer applied in spring and once during the active growing season for enough nutrients.
I do think your tree just needs more time. Most Tangerines are ready for harvest during the winter or early spring.
The Fairfield cultivator is an earlier variety and is generally harvested in October but the Honey types are not ready until January.

My tangerines all turned brown on the outside but most of the fruit is ok on the inside. What can I do to keep this from happening next year?
This sounds like Brown Rot.

Do I have to cover tangerine trees in winter?
You will need to bring your tree indoors when the temperatures are below 40 degrees F.
Freezing temperatures will kill your Citrus tree.

I have a 10 year, 10 foot tangerine tree with lots of new growth but no buds. What to do?
Was the Tangerine Tree grown from seed or a nursery tree?
A seed grown Tangerine Tree will not likely ever grow fruit.
SomeTangerine Trees do need a pollinator.
