They also have a very rumpled skin, not smooth like most of the pictures I see. They also don't taste very sweet. This is the second year we've gotten some fruits.
Often citrus trees will drop fruit naturally about a month after blooming. These articles should help:

I have a tangerine and a lemon tree. They were both doing great. The tangerine has started producing fruit for the first time ever. Almost overnight, leaves yellowed and fell. Nothing changed with watering schedule. Now hibiscus in yard are severely yellowed and falling off. I’ve check soil with my hand, seems decent.
Make sure that you test your soil for nutrient deficiencies and pH swings. After that, you can begin to test for disease.
I see signs of drastic pH swings, but this can lead to fungal infections, which I am also seeing.

My tree is over 15yo. When it started bearing fruit about 2010 they seemed different on parts of the tree and had many seeds. More recent years half are pithy and dry though some are juicy and tasty! This year I had a lot of fruit drop because late summer was very rainy in the TampaBay area. I sampled fruit weekly since late November when most of the green on skins disappeared. Some were already pithy then...one side of the fruit where it was attached to the stem. Sometimes I can predict one is dry by lighter weight/thicker feeling skin but I hesitate to share my bounty. I fertilize twice year and it gets extra water from lawn irrigation when it doesn’t rain. No other tangerine trees around here. Wondering, should I just cut it down or can I help this tree?
Not enough irrigation and exceptionally hot weather are a couple reasons this can happen. When you water, you should water deeply. Also, too much nitrogen can cause foliage to increase at the expense of fruit. Make sure you are fertilizing appropriately.

I have grown a tangerines tree from seed. I have grown it in a pot in the kitchen. When do I move it outside. I live in the uk. It is still very cold and windy here. Thank you for your help
As long as it isn't close to freezing, you can plant once the days start getting a little longer. In fact, as long as the weather is above 4 C, you can plant at any time.

My tangerine tree has some yellow leaves. Does that mean too much water, not enough water, or needs fertilizer?
Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to see the damage.
Unfortunately, also, this can be caused by over/underwatering, over/underfeeding, and lack of light. You will need to test all of these parameters to know, for sure.

Love the small tangerine tree but DO NOT want it to PRODUCE Fruit.. Is there Anything that can be used for stopping the blooms from producing fruit ??? Such as they do for olives not wanted on ornamentral trees
If it's a small tree, you can pull off all the flowers. Also, sterilizing the tree can stop fruit production, but it can be difficult and is not an exact science. Here is more:
