Is it okay to apply granular isoxaben and atrazine at the same time on st. Augustine lawn? What about spray?
If you have the need to use a pre emergent herbicide to control weeds, I would choose one product and use according to the manufacturers application rates.
It also is wise to verify the weed type and use a herbicide specific to that weed or weeds.
Mixing two herbicides is not advised.
Choose the application process that best meets the needs of your lawn and it's surroundings.
You may also want to check with your County Extension Office to seek advice on the best product to use in your region.

What is the very best fertilizer for St Augustine grass?
Any good lawn fertilizer will be fine. They are all made the same way usually from the same sources. This could be a fungal issue as well. I would treat the spots with wettable sulfur and dolomitic lime when you fertilize the lawn.
I have st. Augustine lawn. There are runners of st. Augustine (at least it looks like st. Augustine) over the top of established lawn. Mowing cuts back somewhat but looks terrible. Have never seen this before. Also patch where grass is thinned out Thanks B Langston
I can't make a determination from your image.
I would suggest taking a sample of the weed to your County Extension Office for identification.

I had the lawn sprayed for chinch bugs and other invaders about a month ago. This morning, I noticed these grayish patches with whitish egg looking things on the blades of the grass. I live on a saltwater canal. I’m attaching pictures of these things. Need to know if it’s something that will damage my lawn. Thanks, Ted
This is a type of grass rust! There are many types, and they can all look very different, but they are all a very similar fungal infection with identical cures.

My neighbor sprays his clippings in my yard when he mows. My yard was weed free and now that part is mostly weeds. What can I do to get rid of the weeds?
First of all, keep your own grass as healthy as possible with good water management and fertilization.
It depends on what kind of weeds are growing in your grass lawn. If they are "broadleaf" weeds, you can apply a selective herbicide that kills only the broadleaf plants and not the grasses.
Had this tyoe lawn for over twenty years but lately the grass is dying in spots I apply fertilizer fall and early spring. but still dying. Applied sod to the areas that are dying but the sod die also
It's possible that your grass has a pest or disease problem. Here are some articles that may help you with diagnosis:

Can I plant St. Augustine sod in an area of Zoysia lawn that is more shady than the rest of the zosyia lawn? The area is about 6 sq feet, and there is alot of moss there because it does not get enough sun.
You can do this if you would like to fill in some bare spots. It will have better results if you remove the moss first, but this isn't completely necessary.
