    Rubber trees are only hardy to 30 F. If it gets colder than 30 F where you live, it should not be planted outside. If you feel that the tree would be safe, you can plant it out in the yard. However, potted plants do enjoy spending summers outdoors.

    Rubber trees are only hardy to 30F. If it gets colder than that where you live, the tree cannot not be planted outside permanently. You can keep it outside in a container in the summer though.

    Curling leaves are usually indicative of too little water. The best way to check is by inserting your finger into the soil (up to an inch) and see if it feels wet at all. If it's dry, water and if not let it be.

    Rubber trees are only hardy to 30 F. If it gets colder than 30 F. where you live in winter, it should not be planted outside. If you feel that the tree would be safe, you can plant it out in the yard but make sure to provide winter protections for it.

    Pruning and using the cuttings for more plants sounds like an excellent idea. The pruning will encourage more bushier growth and the cuttings should root easily for you.
