The plant was growing fine for two weeks when we bought it back from the nursery. Recently all the leaves of the pomegranate plant fold up. I have been watering the plant everyday. In Singapore, the weather now is hot and humid with occasional thunder storm. Is it insufficient water or too much?
Daily water is likely too much. The soil should dry slightly between waterings.

Hi, I read the article about taking care of a pomegranate tree and it says to fertilize with a half cup of 10-10-10 fertilizer. I'm having a hard time finding one that is actually 10-10-10. Do you have some that you recommend?
10-10-10 or a balanced 5-5-5 NPK fertilizer is very common and should easily be located in garden centers, greenhouses, or the plant department of big box stores and home improvement centers.
Don't hesitate to ask the staff for help and make sure you let them know the type of tree you are fertilizing.
if the tree is growing to about 7' tall all green but no flowers?

Why are my pomegranates splitting. They are not ripe. Well drained rich soil. Adaquate watering. Any help appreciated.
Pomegranates are semi drought tolerant and don't require much water. splitting is usually associated with excess or irregular watering. Remove any split fruit, and let the plant dry between waterings. Thinning the fruit if the plant is heavily laiden will allow for larger Pomegranates with a higher sugar content. Good Luck.
The tips on the leaves of my pomegranate plant are yellowing and drying out. Strangely, this is happening on the top leaves on the ones at the bottom of the plant. I have the plant under a grow light in zone 7. I water it once a week when the soil on the surface dries out. I don't know if this is normal because the new leaves a coming out at the tip of the plant. Advice appreciated. Thank you.
I would increase the watering a bit and rotate the plant to help with even light placement.

A friend has given me a pomegranite that has dried to a hard covering on the outside. If I want to have the seeds to attempt a planting next year, what is the best way to preserve the seeds? Leave it as it is until I want the seeds? Take the seeds out now and preserve them how? Or door #3? Thanks, B. Engel (missscarlettsmom@sbcglobal.net)
You need to grow Pomegranate from fresh seed.

I have a question regarding a pomegramate tree in my grandmother's house. I don't really know how old the tree is as I've seen it since I was a child so maybe it is 6 to 10 years old. I grew fine and used to have really huge and red pomegranate fruits but after a section of the tree was cut off because of the size of the tree, it no longer bears red fruit. The fruit grows but remains yellow through out the year and then rotts. Is there a solution to this?
It isn't always possible to rely on color to determine if the fruit is ripe.
They should make a metallic sound when tapped. Left too long on the tree fruit cracks and rots.
