Where to get a Pistachio tree in the high desert in Phelan Ca . Would like to get a bare root tree
Pistachios are particular about their climate. Here is growing info below. You should be able to find them at local nurseries if the climate is conducive to their growth. You also can find them for sale online. Just be sure it's a reputable nursery. I would not buy from an individual posting on the Internet.

I think the roots might have been pulled off the pistachio male dormant tree when we planted it two days ago. Out of the 3 we planted, it looks droopy. The other two look fine. We had high winds yesterday. Would a starter fertilizer (like vit B) help?
Unless root was removed entirely, your tree should perk up. It may be experiencing transplant shock. Make sure you keep it watered, but do not overwater it and drown its roots. Here's some info:

have trees with red leaves and grafted green leaves. When can I prune back rootstock and can it be done all at once or gradually
Suckers growing from the rootstalk should be removed as soon as they are noticed. Allowing them to grow can divert energy from the desired upper branches as well as take over the tree. Go ahead and remove them all now.
