I have two Bartlett pear trees. On one the leaves are nice, green and full, but the other's leaves are brittle and dry but green. They both get the same care and watering. The one hasn't lost any leaves but they are just dry and brittle.
This could be Fire Blight.
Here is a link that explains this bacterial disease and how to treat.

There are sprouts growing out of the bottom of the tree roots as well as lichen on the bark. I love this tree and do not want to harm its growth. Is it healthy and do I leave it or help it? Also, it is about ten years old. Thank you so much.
Go ahead and trim away the sucker branches as they appear on the tree.
Lichen on a tree generally does not harm.

Why are my pear tree leaves turning red and falling off? It's only summer time.
This can be a sign of Crown Rot which can be overwatering issues.

My sand pear tree was loaded with pears every year until the last three years. Now it does not have any. My pear tree is old. Is that why it would stop producing?
Though a Pear Tree can live up to 50 years it would likely not be still producing fruit and would be susceptible to disease.
In the home garden a Pear Tree usually will stop producing after about 10 years. There is usually a slow down of fruit over a couple of years and this can signal the time to remove and replace the tree.

Have a young Asian pear with fire blight. My question is - I'm going to remove the tree instead of fighting it. Can I replant in the same spot with a different type of pear?
Proper clean up of the diseased tree and material should be the only clean up needed.
Look for cultivators that are resistant to Fire Blight.

I just moved into my grandmother's house. She has a mature pear tree that has not been cared for for years. There are many dead branches. I did some pruning and found carpenter ants living in the thicker branches close to the trunk. There are ripe fruits on the tree. Lots of ants in the trunk and lots of sawdust. How do I get rid of the ants? Is the fruit safe to eat? Can I save the tree? Thank you in advance! Jess
Your tree is likely suffering from a few issues.
The sawdust is likely caused by Borers.
Here is a link that explains this insect.
The ants are likely attracted to honeydew. They feed on the honeydew which is secreted from insects.

I'm listing pruning information.

This may be a case where you would like a professional to inspect the tree.
I have a 5 year old Conference pear tree and for the last 3 years the fruit it bears tend to go a dark brown coffee colour and fall before they are ripe. The fruit grows to full size but then crack and dark blemishes appear. The flesh is very soft and the fruit is inedible. What do you think might be causing this? Planted nearby is a 10 year old Bramley apple tree, which has not fruited in the last 5 years. Could there be any connection? I would appreciate your advice on this.
This is likely a Fire Blight issue.
