Q.fire blight on asian pear

Anonymous added on August 28, 2015 | Answered

Have a young Asian pear with fire blight. My question is – I’m going to remove the tree instead of fighting it. Can I replant in the same spot with a different type of pear?

Proper clean up of the diseased tree and material should be the only clean up needed.
Look for cultivators that are resistant to Fire Blight.
