Is it possible to nurse this one back to health. It's my daughter's cactus she named Daisy. Not sure if it limped over from too much water or lack of. What caused this. Can we heal it?
This is usually caused by a fungal infection. Mostly by overwatering, but it could just be present in the soil from the store if they had overwatered it. Sometimes this is unavoidable. This one will not be nursed back to health, and the colored cacti on top will not survive without a host cactus, since they do not produce their own chlorophyll. If you can find a dragon fruit cactus, you can graft it back onto that stalk and it will continue to grow. Otherwise, it will die on its own.

I’m new to this, a novice! Thanks for any help Jim.
Yes, I would harvest the pups.
Depending on if they are growing from the bottom or top graft, is what the pups are.

My red moon cactus is getting a dark brown spot on it's head. What should.i do? It is next to three other ones that look ok. Let me know if I should remove the red to protect the other cacti and succulents in terrainum.
Once signs of fungus appear on Cactus it may be to late to stop or save them.

It has enough light and has not been over watered. Its my friends and my one job is to not kill it. What do I do?
So, the bottom portion of that is a Dragonfruit Cactus. The top portion is a type of cactus that does not produce chlorophyll and must have a host.
Unfortunately, they don't receive proper care while they are in store. Most get overwatered and will catch a disease then. This may not show up until later, even with proper care.
You can help quite a bit, though. Next time that you water, make sure to replace 1/4 of that with peroxide. This will help kill anything off in the soil, and increase the oxygen levels in the soil.
Other than this, there really isn't much to do about cacti that come down with infections. This will typically not result in the death of the plant, so with a little care, it will not hurt this any further.

I got it on April 23. I water it once in 2 month's. It looks very dry and sad. Or is it normal. If there's something wrong how can I fix it?
This looks quite normal and healthy! These are actually quite short lived cacti anyways, so try not to get too attached to it.

Hello, I have a moon cactus plant, recently purchased. The top section was a vibrant orange colour, but now the orange coloured section has gone brown and seems to be dying off. I understand about overwatering etc, and have kept catus before, so I know what is required. However,if I carefully trim off the discloured section do you think the plant will take harm, or even die off. I do wonder what the correct course of action is, and any advice would be welcome. I have checked out info about it, but nothing really says what to do in this situation. Many thanks, Mick Moloney.
Could you send a picture? This sounds like the graft union is being rejected. This happens on occasion. If this is the case, then there is really nothing to be done. Graft union failure is somewhat common, and unavoidable. If you can send me a picture, then I would be more able to tell if this is the case.
I just bought, today, a newly grafted moon cactus from Walmart. I wanna know if it's okay that I get rid of the soil it came with & give it brand new miracle grow potting soil especially made for cactus?
This can be fine. Go ahead and repot it in that mix. Here is an article for more information on their care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/cacti-succulents/moon-cactus/care-of-moon-cactus.htm
