Magnolia Seeds REPLAYING FROM TREE. SO i SHOUD i STILL FELLOW THAT DIRECTION ANOUT HOW TO GERMATE THE SEED THANK YOU.
You can use the stratification method or, instead of putting the plastic bag with seed into the refrigerator for three months, you can place it in a warm, sunny spot for 45 days. Plant the ones that sprout in small pots of soil and continue to let them grow.

Been in pot 3 to 4 years assume it's in tight composted in the sunn
It probably is overdue repotting. It needs fresh soil and a larger container. It may be too far gone, but I would give it a try.
They need continuous feeding and watering when in a container. Here is more:

we have a couple of dead branches on our magnolia tree,, when can you prune the or cut the dead branches off
Dead, damaged, or diseased limbs can be removed at any time. Magnolias don't usually require pruning unless you are training a young tree.

ts which didn't work. Last summer I used imidacloprid as per the recommendation of our agricultural extension agent. Starting this spring the shrub kept putting on new growth which promptly fell off. The leaves have a yellow green color. a sample of the leaves were sent to the state agricultural pathologist who did not have an answer other than the shrub was old and in decline. Can you help? This is a very large specimen.
Here are the proper care requirements which may give a clue to what ails the tree:

Also, they prefer acidic soil and perhaps the soil has been getting less acidic over the years. Another thought is that the scale has returned. Try horticultural oil.

I live in alabama and the tree is old with several pods that are beginning to show seeds - I want to grow another tree from these seeds
In the case of acorns, the floaters are the ones that should be discarded. I don't see this test attributed to magnolia seeds. Here is more:

I have a branch in water and it bloomed. No visible roots . Can it be planted
Hello there!
You can, but there are a few things to note. It is in flower, which will inhibit rooting hormone. Powder rooting hormone will be a good options for this situation.
You might want to obtain some smaller tip cuttings to help with faster rooting. Remove flowers and plant them. Keep them only slightly moist and plant out when they root!

Attached are some photos of our Black Tupil Magnolia tree which is about 5 years old. These seedpod-like things appeared after the first flowers last spring and have just grown bigger and redder. As we have never seen these before, I thought I should get some advice as to what them may be caused by & whether or not we should do anything about them. We didn't get one for every flower, maybe about a quarter or a fifth of flowers produced them. Many thanks
The seedpods generally look like cones but can vary in size and shape depending on what type of tree you have. Here is more about seeds:
