60805Q.Lobelia Was Disturbed – Can I Still Expect Germination?
I recently sowed my lobelia, and I know it's crucial that they are not covered with soil and instead were pressed firmly into it. However, I have recently discovered the container they were in were disturbed, as in the soil, so they were covered with dirt and obviously I can't see where the seeds were. Can they still germinate even with this disturbance? They were sowed 2 days ago.

Certified ExpertA.Even if the lobelia seeds were covered with soil, they still have a good chance of surviving. Ensure the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged, and provide appropriate light and temperature conditions for germination. Keep monitoring the seeds closely for signs of germination, and if needed, lightly mist the surface with water to maintain moisture levels. With proper care, the seeds should still have a chance to germinate successfully despite the disturbance. If you are still concerned, then you may want to seed again, if possible.
