Yes, a plain florescent bulb placed within a foot or two of a plant will help provide the light it needs.
Thanks Rachel, you saved my flower and they look beautiful, but I want to know if there is anything 'extra' that the sun provides.
Sunlight is important for stimulating photosynthesis in plants, which is the process by which they make food or energy for blooming and thriving.
I have planted different flowering vines at my office, but the problem is that all of them are in shade and don't get direct sunlight at all. I regularly fertilize them. Is there any medicine or chemical which can cover the work of sunlight? All plants are growing but none of them are flowering.
Probably the best thing you could do is to rig up a grow light or two that would shine upon them. That should get you the performance you desire. There really is not anything I know of chemical wise that would get the same performance that I am aware of. Sunlight affects the height of a plant because if it doesn't have any sunlight it will die because it only have water
